Julius ‘Jules’ Beauregard has a problem. He is a werebear, but that’s not the problem.

At a last minute business meeting at an airport coffee shop Jules meets the charismatic Giancarlo Carosa and his assistant, Gia. It’s just business but it leaves Jules on edge and he’s already stressed – he can’t cancel this business trip and he hates flying. His day is about to go from bad to worse. And so is Gia’s.

This was a short quick read that made me laugh. Julius ‘Jules’ Beauregard is a bear shifter who has anxiety attacks, who doesn't like being around people or in small spaces I thought that was really funny. Billionaire businessman Brock Tandell is running for mayor in New Orleans. He is also a werebear and a member of Jules’ clan. If Jules loses control Brock may just lose his shot at being mayor. Brock and Remy , Jane and Pierre are trying are all trying to help him. This was a good read that had me laughing I have read this author before. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.Product details

Becca Fanning will keep anybody glued to a book. Her stories have depth, feeling and just the right amount of emotion to them.
Jules is having trouble controlling his bear . Brock and Remy , Jane and Pierre are trying to give him the help he needs . But maybe there is more going on than we know about . 5 stars great background for the future.
This story, clearly the first in a series, gives the proverbial lay of the land, establishing characters and the society in which they live. Julius is an interesting and compelling character because he understands the need for clan, even as he persists in trying to be so self-reliant he finds himself in a but if trouble.
I would characterize this as as a short story to set up the series, which is plainly indicated by it being book zero. Unlike some prequels, it doesn't close any holes, it is pure setup.
Having Brock do an interview as a way to lay groundwork was good.
